Summary Of Duties

The Program Manager is responsible for delivery of large scale moderate to high risk programs, with multimillion dollar cost impacts and multi-year delivery schedule focused on Amtrak’s Major Stations. The programs may encompass multiple projects, cross-departmental interfaces, multiple technologies, geographies and assets. Individuals in this role work independently with some indirect supervision from the SFP&A PMO Director or Senior Director and may have either direct reports or matrixed subordinate team members. The role requires regular analytical and metrics-based reporting to other staff, Executive Committee, and stakeholders

Essential Functions

  • Coordinate multiple project teams, vendors and assets to ensure timely and cost-effective sequencing and execution of critical path milestones across several inter-dependent projects.
  • Establish Program Governance and Controls structures to enable effective escalation and decision-making processes.
  • Cultivate collaborative partnership among stakeholders to enable scoping, financial and resource decisions
  • Identify, document and elevate cross-organizational and vendor-driven dependencies, and work with executives and peers across the organization to develop and implement appropriate dependency management processes
  • Identify and manage assessment of major changes to scope, schedule and budget through the appropriate Program and Enterprise governance approval mechanisms
  • Mentor and coach junior level Project Management staff and matrixed team members, and provide guidance on adherence to the Project Management practices.
  • Work with senior leaders to contribute relevant data to support annual planning activities and sequence new working through the appropriate controls mechanisms
  • Ensure that program financial performance and forecasting information is available and reportable for senior executives and government regulators
  • Identify and evaluate the risks associated with program execution and work across organization to establish and monito mitigation plans
  • Develop and maintain required program management artifacts and ensure that all projects have appropriate project management artifacts and processes in accordance with Amtrak Project Management standards and applicable regulations
  • Identify efficiencies and present recommended improvement opportunities at various levels of management.
  • Build strong relationships within Amtrak to understand the business challenges and opportunities.
  • Cultivate partnership among executive leaders and portfolio stakeholders by establishing program governance structures such as steering committees, change control boards, program risk and quality management processes.
  • Direct and supervise assigned project management, technical and operational resources to conduct detailed level planning overall program schedule and its milestone activities in accordance with the

established scope, budget and schedule constraints, and in alignment with mission and the goals of Amtrak

  • Identify, manage and mitigate inter-project and cross-organizational dependencies and risks by developing and implementing long-term goals and objectives and facilitating appropriate executive escalation and decision support processes.
  • Develop, track and forecast annual budgets and operating plans to support the program
  • Provide performance reports and other relevant analytics on the program stakeholders
  • Monitor and approve all budgeted program expenditures
  • Ensure program adherence to the Amtrak Program Management methods and governance standards
  • Oversee project initiation, design, construction, commissioning and close-out work for all projects in the program

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Architecture or a related field. An eqiuvalent combination of experience, training and/or education will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 7 years relevant experience.
  • Strong project and program management skills
  • Superb communication and stakeholder management skills with focus on collaboration, team building, and customer service
  • Effectiveness working diplomatically across teams with varying objectives.
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, MS Project),
  • PMP certification (or must be willing to obtain within 12 months of hire)
  • Must have work authorization in the United States.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications

Preferred Experience, Education, Or Qualifications

  • Graduate degree in Business, Engineering, Architecture or related field
  • 9+ years of relevant experience preferred
  • Transportation industry background
  • Experience in construction or renovation of transit stations/facilities
  • PgMP certification

Minimum Qualification

  • BA/BS degree
  • 3+ years experience with program/project management, customer service, marketing, user or UX research and/or operations
  • 2+ years work experience in managing the implementation, tracking and measurement of digital marketing campaigns
  • Experience designing experiments and knowledge of A/B testing
  • Experience working/building relationships with cross-functional teams, delivering impact through communication, and influencing teams toward achieving goals
  • Experience implementing processes and programs that improve product or operational performance
  • Experience initiating and driving projects to completion with minimal guidance

Project Responsibilities

  • Autonomously lead client engagements focused on data management and reporting projects, including implementation of client data management planning, data collection tools/strategies, data processing tools, digital surveys, business intelligence, and other dynamic reporting solutions
  • Manage strategic client development, focusing on seamless integration of robust and streamlined data management as a foundation of major client sustainability programs
  • Translate client and CodeGreen program team needs into technical requirements for data/reporting deliverables such as customized BI reports, data collection tools/surveys, and tailored internal/client tools
  • Work with and advise on platforms/frameworks specific to the real estate sustainability industry, including but not limited to ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager, LEED Arc Skoru, GRESB, CDP, TCFD, GRI
  • Define overall project objectives and goals, and keep the project on track to those goals by utilizing project management best practices (i.e. agile, waterfall) and tools (i.e. Gannt charts, Kanban boards, etc)
  • Oversee internal support staff and developers and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
  • Conduct work/analysis and produce high-quality deliverables in a timely manner
  • Manage both internal team and external client expectations, identifying and managing issues while escalating risks appropriately
  • Ensure accurate and timely billing of projects
  • Apply data management best practices/trends to sustainability industry trends

Administrative And Business Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships
  • Deeply understand CodeGreen’s data management products and services in order to effectively communicate offerings and capabilities to clients
  • Identify opportunities to connect services provided by CodeGreen to add value and increase revenue
  • Maintain existing client relationships on current projects

Senior Project Manager - Planning Lead

We have an immediate need for a full-time Senior Project Manager to lead our infrastructure planning practice in our New York office. 

Essential Functions:

  • Manage the Infrastructure Planning Practice in the New York office
  • Manage a team of planners and designers who will support and engage engineers within Sherwood to implement infrastructure plans
  • Develop the infrastructure planning practice across multiple offices (Atlanta, Los Angeles, San Francisco)

  • Work with program partners to establish project plan, facilitate requirements gathering, drive creation of integrated project plans and ensure team is aware of key milestone dates
  • Integrate, synthesize and maintain project/program documentation from multiple teams
  • Facilitate relationships between teams, moving programs forward, finding resources, raising concerns to appropriate owners early and resolving open issues that prevent progress
  • Prepare executive-level reporting on key metrics and project status and share updates regularly with recruiting leadership and other stakeholders

Minimum Qualification

  • 5+ years of program/project management experience and/or consulting experience
  • Experience leading departmental and/or enterprise-wide projects
  • Experience managing a diverse set of stakeholders and cross-functional teams from project initiation through close
  • Program documentation experience
  • Problem-solving, data analytics and reporting skills

Preferred Qualification

  • 8+ years experience in operations and/or project management
  • 2+ years of experience with Diversity & Inclusion strategies/projects
  • Demonstrated track record of building strong working relationships and communicating at all levels, across functions and geographic boundaries
  • Flexibility to handle multiple tasks concurrently with acute attention to detail and deliver high quality work
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing business situations
  • PMP, CAPM, or other relevant project management certification(s)

The Global Markets Data Services Technology function is responsible for the development and maintennace of applications that provide Instruments, Market and Trade data to all applications across Front Office, Risk, Finance and Corporate within Nomura Wholesale. Candidates must have strong Financial Systems background with front office experience.

Responsibilities

  • Point of contact for all Data projects / initiatives / issues in the Americas region.
  • Raise Data quality, Data Governance issues with the Data domain owners within GM Data Services Technology team. Monitor and ensure satisfactory resolution meeting the requirements of the business teams in the region.
  • Co-ordinate with various Data domain leads and applications teams to implement the changes. Provide transparency to consumers within the region or Globally, as required.
  • Solve relevant data issues that may arise on an ad-hoc basis.
  • Work closely with the Data Management Office in Americas region to ensure data deliveries are in line with the Data Management guidelines.
  • Create / Maintain various status reports and documents as required by the Data Services Portfolio team.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering
  • 10+ years of PM experience in financial industry in Investment banking front office environment
  • Knowledge of Financial Products Equities, Derivatives, Bonds, Structured products, Index etc.
  • Knowledge of Trade Life cycle is must.
  • Solid analytical skills and strong status reporting skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to cope with rapid front-office business needs
  • Ability to communicate and act professionally with IT staff and business clients while under strict deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented setting is a definite requirement with strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to deal with changing priorities
  • Ability to work with global teams

Desired Skills

  • Past development experience will be a huge plus
  • Knowledge of broader Capital Markets product set is a big plus

Technical

Basic: MS Office, MS Project, JIRA, Confluence, Visio, SQL knowledge
