TECHNAMO is a Tier-I Contractor to provide IT Services to the Virginia govt. agencies (70+ entities) and contracted to provide services to state govt. New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Arkansas, Delaware, and Maryland govt. agencies.
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project Manager.
The required position is for a Senior Project Manager to lead multiple Information Technology (IT) projects in support of the Michigan Department of Treasury. As a member of the Project Management Office (PMO), the project manager will follow the State's SUITE methodology (and required deliverables), and utilize the State's Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) too, to perform project planning through project closeout.
- Designs, plans, and coordinates work for teams. Follows standard project management industry practices such as the PMI's framework. Understands business and technical objectives of a project and works closely with the project sponsor. Creates project charter and work plan and tracks budget and schedule progress via appropriate metrics. Establishes project organization and methodologies and defines roles and responsibilities. Documents risks and develops mitigation plans. Manages scope. Creates and implements a communication plan. Builds an effective team, assigns tasks to team members and evaluates outcomes. Negotiates resources. Communicates to stakeholders and project sponsors. Identifies, tracks, and ensures resolution of issues and removal of barriers. - May require specific PC, workstation, operating system, application, or platform skills. Provides overall direction to the formulation, development, implementation, and delivery of a project. Exercises management responsibility for the achievement of performance, revenue, and profit objectives of a project and its contracts. Ensures that the project plan maintains tasks, schedules, estimates, and status, and disseminates information to team members and customers. Creates a structure and organization for the management of a complex environment with an emphasis on quality, productivity, and consistency. Directs corrective actions in any area where performance falls below objectives. Arranges for the assignment of responsibility to other supporting facilities, business areas, and support functions, and monitors their performance. Self-directed and independent. Responsible for the coordination and completion of projects. Oversees all aspects of projects. Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of the project. Prepares reports for upper management regarding the status of the project.
- One of the project required is to implement and use Salesforce as a hearings file management and document management replacement for the Hearings Tracking System (HTS) currently being utilized by Treasury Hearings Division. The current legacy system is in Delphi and unsupported and was identified as a critical finding in the last IRS audit. The new system will comply with and meet IRS requirements as it is a FISMA compliant and FedRAMP certified cloud-based solution. The project was put on hold a year ago when Salesforce was not pub1070 compliant. Recently Salesforce has upgraded its platform and became compliant with FedRAMP.
Due to upcoming changes in the Internet Technologies Landscape which will impact all of the State of Michigan’s workstations, we are required to implement some changes with Internet Explorer, Adobe Flash Player, and Java Runtime Engine Licensing. These three technologies are rapidly approaching their End of Life (EOL) for technical support from their respective manufacturer.
Required Skills
- Solid skills in project management utilizing a formal project management methodology. – Required 7 years.
- Solid skills in project scheduling utilizing a project scheduling tool such as MS Project. – Required 5 years.
- Experience with PPM tool like Clarity – Desired 5 years.
- Ability to communicate technical terminology at levels appropriate to the audience both orally and in writing. – Required 7 years.

- Estimating / Preconstruction Understand our client and all project requirements; develop and push a construction schedule; plan for coordination of MEP and BIM; coordinate with accounting, design, and estimating teams; manage bidding lists and subcontractor relationships.
- Cost and Expediting Write subcontracts and purchase orders; ensure job cost and expediting schedules are updated and accurate; monitor cost changes and report promptly; continually "think outside of the box" to provide key solutions and alternatives.
- Quality and Safety Ensure that Granger's quality standards are setting the industry's standard; keep high-security level on the job site daily.
- Close Out and Commissioning Attain the "Zero punch list" goal; keep accurate records and maintain/update as-builts; prepare, deliver, and hand-off closeout materials to the owner prior to occupancy.
- Communication Demonstrate and maintain clear, effective communication; ensure appropriate documentation and timely action with RFI, submittal, and cost change processes; clearly communicate issues to owners/architects/partners; meet regularly with accounting to monitor job cost.
What You Need for this Position
- Bachelor's degree in building construction management, civil engineering or other engineering discipline.
- Minimum of five years of related experience.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.

You will also contribute in a variety of roles in thought leadership, mentorship, systems analysis, architecture, design, configuration, testing, debugging, and documentation. You will challenge your leading edge solutions, consultative and business skills through the diversity of work in multiple industry domains. This role is considered part of the Business Unit Senior Leadership team and may mentor junior architects and other delivery team members.
Responsibilities
- Lead large data platform implementations including multi-shore and multi-capability.
- Define program operating model for a large, multi-shore, multiple business unit level program with complex eco-system of client personas, vendor personas, and Perficient teams
- Define and have a clear, high level understanding of the project/program goals and the status towards them, to be able to articulate progress, milestones achieved, risks and issues to any internal or external stakeholder, even if possible, help the team anticipate and prevent issues with adequate risk management and laser focus on goal-orientation
- See the whole picture (the forest, not the tree) of the business, it's drivers, actors involved and processes, that will allow him to help the team that is more on the day to day on not losing sight of that big picture and the north they are following
- Define the goals of the program and key KPI's/OKR's to measure and monitor them
- Proactively develop strong relationships with Business and IT leaders from the C-suite level to front line delivery consultant
- Build trust with clients, stakeholders and team members alike, with empathy, great communication and negotiation skills
- Create evaluation frameworks and facilitate project prioritization discussions and decisions.

- Experience with Informatica Data Quality

The focus of the Sr. Project Manager role is to manage cross-functional projects simultaneously within the organization. Primary Responsibilities
In the role of Transportation Project Manager , we'll count on you to:
- Plan and manage all aspects of small to large multi-discipline projects

Primary Responsibilities
In the role of Senior Project Manager - Water, we'll count on you to:
- Plan, direct and monitor all aspects of large multi-discipline projects or medium-sized projects with high degree of technical complexity
- Produce and coordinate several projects concurrently
- Establish client relations and be involved with marketing, contractual, design and production meetings
