Description: Our client is currently seeking a Project Manager 3

Summary

Project Manager Performs non-technical project tracking, delivery and completion using an internal customer perspective, typically from initiation through delivery. Coordinates cross-functional teams through meetings and progress measurement activity which bring distinct, specific projects to completion both on time and within budget.

Although it's preferred that this Project Manager be located in the Research Triangle Park (RTP), NC area, or near another NetApp site, most locations in the US will also be considered.

Job Requirements - Ability to work collaboratively, and act in a lead role as a subject matter expert, within a team environment to meet aggressive goals and pre-defined measurement criteria. - Familiarity with the basic concepts of hardware and software development. - Strong aptitude for learning new technologies and utilizing project management applications. - Creative approach to problem solving. - Program Management training or demonstrated experience. (CAPM)

Responsibility and Interaction: - The tasks this individual is responsible for are often non-routine and unstructured, requiring creative solutions. - This individual will apply attained experiences and knowledge in solving routine problems, program delivery and tracking for Expert Service delivery in the GSSC. - This individual must work effectively with peers and the technical team on assigned projects. There may be communication with employees in other functions as required, as well as our external customers. - Limited management direction is provided to employee on new projects or assignments as well as review of activities and priorities. - The ideal candidate will be a proactive contributor and subject matter expert on team projects including assignments and tracking.

Education Typically requires a minimum of 3-5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of related education/training/certifications and applicable work experience. Current Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI) preferred or equivalent 3-5 years in Project Managegement.
