Job Description:
- Advanced experience managing programs of projects, complex projects, or multiple projects. Demonstrated and advanced understanding of project management methodologies. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A significant degree of creativity and latitude is required. Works under limited supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
- Designs, plans, and coordinates work for teams. Follows standard project management industry practices such as the PMI's framework. Understands business and technical objectives of a project and works closely with the project sponsor. Creates project charter and work plan and tracks budget and schedule progress via appropriate metrics. Establishes project organization and methodologies and defines roles and responsibilities. Documents risks and develops mitigation plans. Manages scope.
- Creates and implements a communication plan. Builds an effective team, assigns tasks to team members and evaluates outcomes. Negotiates resources.
- Communicates to stakeholders and project sponsors. Identifies, tracks, and ensures resolution of issues and removal of barriers. Provides technical support to project team members. Handles complex application features and technical designs. Designs and implements the components required for complex application features. Generally manages a group of applications system analysts. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Professional certification is highly desirable.
- May require specific PC, workstation, operating system, application, or platform skills.
- Provides overall direction to the formulation, development, implementation, and delivery of a project. Exercises management responsibility for the achievement of performance, revenue, and profit objectives of a project and its contracts.
- Ensures that the project plan maintains tasks, schedules, estimates, and status, and disseminates information to team members and customers. Creates a structure and organization for the management of a complex environment with an emphasis on quality, productivity, and consistency. Directs corrective actions in any area where performance falls below objectives. Arranges for the assignment of responsibility to other supporting facilities, business areas, and support functions, and monitors their performance. Self-directed and independent. Responsible for the coordination and completion of projects. Oversees all aspects of projects.
- Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of the project. Prepares reports for upper management regarding the status of the project.
- Project Closeout - July of 2023.
Required Skills
- Documented experience in successfully managing IT Enterprise Resource Planning Projects (full project lifecycle) > $2,000,000 – Required 3 years.
- Proven record of delivering projects on time and within budget – Required 5 years.
- Proven history of managing a project in a multi-vendor environment, and daily interaction with executives. – Required 5 years.
- Experience in managing IT projects in a government environment (functional matrixed environment) – Highly desired 3 years.
- Experience creating/managing comprehensive project plans (with multiple parallel lines), utilizing PMO industry flows and tools. – Required 3 years.
- Experience performing scope management for projects, including a disciplined change control – Required 5 years.
- Experience in delivering excellent verbal and written communication with clients and technical – Required 5 years.
- Experience managing IT development projects using Agile/Scrum methodology, also includes using this methodology in a virtual environment. – Required 5 years.

Position Summary:
Schedule, plan, resource, and manage all technical activities aimed at assuring project accuracy and quality from conception to completion.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop work scope, costs (labor, subcontract, materials, tools, etc.) and submit bids for field service solutions.
- Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned field service projects
- Lead and execute onsite line-up meetings with field technicians at customer locations for critical projects and provide technical guidance as needed
- Oversee installation, operation, maintenance, and repair to ensure that machines and equipment are installed and functioning according to specifications.
- Interact daily with assigned field technicians to ensure successful project execution
- Report regularly on project status to management and customer
- Assign responsibilities to field technicians and monitor completion
- Coordinate customer site activities with customer, technicians, and sales department
- Review project deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions
- Provide support to the sales team with the development of project scope of work, sales estimates, and proposals
- Provide technical training support for junior field technicians
- The majority of work will be office-based and revolve around project planning, project execution, and supervision of field service technician activities being performed at our customer’s facilities.
- Travel: Up to 25% overnight travel
Education and Training, or Experience equivalent:
- Four year BS Engineering degree or a combination of equivalent education and experience
Skills and Abilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings
- Ability to analyze customer scope of work, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and work requirements to complete assigned project.
- Ability to run multiple projects of varying degrees of difficulty and duration at one time.
- Ability to work independently but also coordinate effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while remaining flexible/adaptable to rapidly changing priorities.

Position Responsibilities
IPS hiring! We are looking for a talented Senior Project Manager to join our industry leading Project Delivery and Construction team at our client location located Lansing, MI.
The Senior Project Manager provides leadership on assigned projects and acts to achieve financial, safety, and client relationship objectives.
Key Activities And Responsibilities
- Manages delivery of individual projects and holds primary responsibility for achievement of cost, schedule and quality objectives.
- Oversees activities of Project Engineers, Construction Manager, and Site Superintendents on assigned projects.
- Ensures achievement of safety objectives on assigned projects.
- Ensures achievement of corporate goals for assigned projects.
- Coordinates resources to achieve project goals.
- Manages client interaction on assigned projects and promotes positive relationships.
- Identifies risks to project and corporation and works with Project Directors and Director of Operations to mitigate risks.
- Supports development of prime contract with Client. Develops working knowledge of prime contract requirements.
- Develops and maintains written pre-construction, construction, and closeout execution plans, obtains review and approval from Project Executive and/or Director of Operations, and communicates to project team.
- Develops and maintains written project scopes of work and communicates to project team.
- Develops and maintains project schedules, including targeted and actual activities lists, durations, and sequencing logic and communicates to project team. Works closely with Construction Manager and Site Superintendent to monitor performance against target schedule and implement corrective actions against non-conformances. Coordinates design, commissioning, and qualification schedule requirements with construction schedule.
- Works with Estimating to develop project budgets. Coordinates delivery of basis documents to Estimating. Obtains review and approval from Project Directors and/or Director of Operations and communicates to project team.
- Monitors and reports project costs, including values committed, forecast to commit, allowances for growth, and actually expended. Works closely with Construction Manager and Superintendents to ensure that field events, conditions, exceptions, and issues are fully reflected in cost reports. Carefully forecasts final cost of project periodically.
- Manages changes to prime contract, including change control documentation and related financial documentation. Vigorously protects corporate positions.
- Coordinates with Accounting to invoice client and manage Accounts Receivable to meet corporate goals. Works with financial group to manage project financial issues.
- Ensures achievement of contractually required quality in design and works with Construction Manager and Superintendents to ensure achievement of contractually required quality in construction.
- Oversees site safety for assigned projects and coordinates with Construction Manager, Superintendents and safety resources, including sub-consultants, to establish site safety program, monitor site safety and correct non-conformances.
- Monitors design content and coordinates design revisions for constructibility and compliance with basis documents, schedule, and budget.
- Procures and coordinates all required project resources, including intra-divisional, inter-divisional, and extra corporate.
- Prepares and manages subcontracts and purchase orders, including change control documentation and related financial documentation. Preparation of subcontracts and PO’s at IPS is a Procurement Management activity.
- Coordinate with Financial group to evaluate vendor and subcontractor invoices and arrange for payment as required to meet project and corporate goals.
- Ensures fluid, organized, documented communication between all project participants.
- Adapts IPS Business Processes and Workflows to specific Client/ Prime Contract requirements.
- Ensures that all project documents are distributed, reviewed, and stored to meet project and corporate requirements. Project documents include records of communications, design documents, bid packages and addenda and bulletins thereto, and submittals, among others.
- Ensures that all IPS design, construction, and compliance activities on project delivery projects comply with applicable legal and regulatory requirements. Manages submissions and payments to authorities having jurisdiction to obtain permits for all IPS activities.
- Supports project/client development process with presentations and related marketing activities.
- Supports Project Executives, Director of Operations, and General Manager in preparation of project delivery proposals.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
REQUIRED EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS /WORK EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related discipline or an equivalent technical degree.
- A minimum of 10-15 years of experience in Project Delivery or a related discipline. Demonstrate significant experience both in terms of industry knowledge and positions of leadership.
CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT AND SAFETY
- This position will have 25% travel, or as required by the assigned project. Position may be assigned to client site for an extended period of time. Overnight travel or staying in the city of Client’s location is possible depending on assignment. Please review IPS Travel Policy. Position will visit Client sites and will be required to adhere to stated safety rules. Position will visit construction sights and will be required to take site safety training and adhere to site safety rules.
- This position is a safety sensitive position. The employee is considered a field contractor supervisor and acts in a supervisory role for field work. For IPS employees or subcontractors.

About Wieland Construction Project Managers
Wieland wants Project Managers who take ownership and drive relentlessly in all facets to produce a successful project. Wieland’s structure provides this immediate opportunity, coupled with daily guidance and leadership of experienced Senior Project Managers and Project Executives. Our Project Managers are integral to all functions of construction management which enables them to gain the experience and knowledge needed to support the project teams in multiple facets of construction to latter become our next Senior Project Managers.
Position Summary
Provide support for the overall direction, completion and financial outcome of a project, while mentoring and guiding the project staff.
Job Functions
- Maintain daily and weekly communication with owners, architects, and subcontractors related to project risk, timeline, costs/budgets and change management
- Provide daily communication with Project Team to ensure project is continuing on-schedule and on budget
- Perform pre-construction planning, scheduling and cost control
- Prepare monthly reports including budget and forecast analysis, schedule and safety
- Execute the buyout of the job by determining the subcontracting strategy for the project
- Prepare front-end documents and bid processes under various project delivery methods
- Prepare contingency plans for potential risks, expanding contractual services and project profit
- Provide jobsite leadership in all areas of the project needed, including safety and quality
- Support and mentor the Assistant Project Manager throughout the course of the project
- Work directly with accounting staff daily to ensure accurate documentation
- Perform constructability and coordination reviews
- Flexibility to travel as projects demand
- Ability to walk the job site, and stand for long periods of timr
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s Degree or more than five years of experience in the construction industry. Knowledge of construction management practices and accounting principles are essential. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Advanced computer skills including Word, Excel, Bluebeam/Adobe with an interest in learning new emerging software. Must have the ability to coordinate numerous activities and work well under pressure.
Reports to the Senior Project Manager, and Project Executive. Can be working with several projects teams and must be able to prioritize and multitask. The Project Manager is essential to the projects financial outcome and overall success. Strong leadership skills are an essential attribute.

What We're Looking For
Responsible for the leadership and management of a highway design team in support of the project’s profitable operation. - Ejecutar y dar seguimiento de planes de desarrollo de aperturas de nuevos mercados.
- Coordinar con las distintas áreas funcionales el lanzamiento de nuevos países.
- Colaborar en la mejora de los procesos, documentos, herramientas y contratos establecidos en base a experiencias previas.
- Conocimientos financieros de proyectos.
Requisitos
Se requiere para ocupar este puesto
- Ser Licenciado en Ciencias Económicas, Administración de Empresas, Ingeniería Informática o afines.
- Experiencia mínima de 4 años en posiciones como PM, valoradas en industrias de tecnología, Fintech y/o Financieras.
