Job Description

What You Will Be Doing

The APMs role is to assist the Project Manager, and other jobsite staff members, with project administration for multi-family, high density residential and/or mixed use projects. The APM is expected to help manage and maintain the smooth workflow of the jobsite trailer and the paperwork necessary to complete a successful project. Not only is the APM expected to be responsible for jobsite postings, safety documentation and project paperwork related to billings, but to also maintain close interaction and relationships with vendors, owners, and engineers, while complying with company policies and procedures.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES / TASKS (including But Not Limited To)

PROJECT ADMINISTRATION

  • Obtain, review and track all project bids
  • Assist in contract and purchase order procurement
  • Review and process Subcontractor and Owner change orders
  • Review, prepare, submit and track RFIs, Submittals and other Architect/Owner supplemental information
  • Manage all project files, including but not limited to plans, permits, inspections, safety, contracts, change orders, insurance, billing, supplemental information
  • Memorialize and distribute all meeting minutes within 24hrs
  • Develop professional letters and memos as requested by Project Manager
  • Order office and jobsite supplies

  • Track and report project costs and budget

PROJECT TEAM

PARTNERSHIP

  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with development partners, architects, consultants, engineers, subcontractors, other project specialists and team members to achieve mutual goals;
  • Organize project-related tasks with key contributors to ensure adherence to project goal

PROJECT CLOSE OUT

  • Solicit and prepare project close out documents for Developer review and acceptance
  • Maintain and disseminate punch lists
  • File and store all project documents, furnishing etc.
  • Cancel all project accounts

  • Assist Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent as needed

What You Need for this Position

Required Experience And Education

  • Graduate from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in construction science, engineering, architecture, or other related field and/or equivalent experience
  • Construction experience a plus

Skills And Specialized Knowledge

  • Knowledge of construction procedures and safety practices

Primary Responsibilities / Tasks

  • Ensure that construction activities move according to predetermined schedule, mitigating and reporting all potential delays by monitoring the progress of the construction activities on a regular basis and holding weekly status meetings with all the team members, subcontractors and clients and their consultants.
  • Coordinate the efforts of all parties involved in the project, which include clients, architects, consultants, subcontractors and laborers.

  • Daily inspection of construction site to monitor compliance with building and safety codes, and other applicable regulations.

  • Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to administrative staff, subcontractors, and clients

  • Manage the budget, track project expenses and minimize exposure and risk in the project
  • Collect, review and approve progress payments submitted by all subcontractors and vendors

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in multi-family, wood framing, structural concrete, construction projects
  • 3rd party general contractor experience is a plus

Job Title - Network Project Manager

Location –Piscataway, New Jersey, United States

Duration – Contract

Rate - W2 - $480 daily

 

Job Duties:

·               Create & maintain detailed project schedule

·               Manage equipment orders, staging & inventory

·               Conduct weekly meetings, and document via weekly Status Reports that include the following content: Team Accomplishments, Agenda, Key Point / Minutes from Last Meeting, 2 week Look-Ahead, Actions, Red/Amber/Green Issue Tracking Summary, Network Change Request Summary

·               Provide detailed and timely regular and ad-hoc updates to management

·               Ensure timely and accurate publication of all project deliverables owed by Deployment Engineers

·               Manage project delivery

·               Escalate project issues to management

·               Support project closure activities

·               Work with Deployment and Firewall Engineers in creating, and participate actively in the creation of, the following mandatory network deliverables.

·               Act as primary liaison between implementation team and internal groups including IT Facilities, Application Connectivity, UNIX / Wintel when necessary, business /client and peer resources. and external groups including collocation providers and any 3rd party equipment staging partners

·               Coordinate appropriate updates with NMS Team as devices are productionized and ensure all network devices are properly inventoried in data base when required.

·               Secure appropriate signoff for all deliverables produced or updated during a project

·               Oversee and manage day to day activities of firewall Engineers and deployment staff

·               Ensure all networking systems are delivered based upon internal network standards

·               Ensure compliance with Client’s standard network deployment practices during implementation

·               Create, or work with Deployment Engineers and firewall engineers to create Change Requests.

·               Secure approval for change requests.

·               Attend weekly change control meetings to present, or support presentation by Deployment Engineers, and leads across network changes

·               Host testing bridge conference calls for any changes involving disruption to service or activities

·               Coordinate next business day support for changes

·               Issue notifications for all change events

·               Turn-over all documentation created or updated during this project to Operations team. 

 

Expected Skillset:

Required – Technical

­          Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing network implementation projects

­          Background in the financial services industry

­          Aptitude for managing technical staff in a dynamic matrix working environment

­          Aptitude for managing demanding clients, and managing/resolving conflicts

­          

Required – Project Management

­          Understanding of L2 frame & L3 packet concepts

­          Understanding of TCP/IP addressing & behaviour and the OSI Model

­          Understanding of routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), ip multicast, quality-of-service

­          Familiarity with Arista and Cisco Nexus platforms

­          Understanding of PMI project methodologies and proficient in MS Project, Excel & PowerPoint.

Required

  1. 10+ years of Program Management experience leading large enterprise programs with budgets over $2M. Experience of 3+ years as a Scrum Master running tech teams.
  2. Director level candidate with polished communication and able to manage a diverse set of stakeholder groups from developers thru VPs.
  3. Retail experience preferred. Have to be an engineer or product manager in their early career.
  4. Local Oregon candidates preferred but not a must.
  5. high emotional intelligence to navigate political landscape
  6. Experience in SafE agile methodology a MUST.
  7. Experience with Planview, Clarity and Aha! is a must have requirement.
