Role

Splunk is seeking a Senior Program Manager for our Channel Partner organization (individual contributor role). You will be responsible for the creation and management of partner programs through engaging with cross-functional teams across Splunk's entire portfolio of enterprise software, cloud services and applications and is responsible for ensuring timely, high-quality delivery of multiple concurrent projects.

This is an incredible opportunity to help enable the organization with high visibility amongst senior Partner leadership. This position reports to the Head of Global Partner Programs and Initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Define, build and execute enhancements to Partner+ Program track for Managed Service Providers (MSP) & System Integrators (GSI/ SI)
  • Craft and manage MDF incentive requirements across all partner types
  • Manage, grow and transform the Partner Program for MSP and GSI/SI globally
  • Model the return on investment for all program enhancements, pilots and new releases including Contra Revenue and OPEX funding
  • Build program partner relationships with market segment leaders
  • Track and Communicate Key programs project status/dependencies
  • Work with Partners and the Spunk partner organization to drive processes, identify adoption issues and improvement
  • Develop strategic relationships with top performing partners
  • Execute and launch activities associated with program updates (internal and external communication creation, PowerPoints, program guides, teamwork with Operations, Legal and other teams)

Requirements

  • Minimum of 12 years of partners-related program management position
  • Current and deep knowledge with MSP and SI partners at the Global strategic and programmatic level
  • Recent & proven experience with MSP/SI Partners in a fast growing SaaS/Cloud and global enterprise software company
  • Strong Leadership skills and ability to influence
  • Strong communication, reporting and presentation skills to large groups of people
  • Current experience in a fast growing software enterprise or software vendor company
  • Demonstrate the ability to direct programs at the strategic level and possess the willingness to dig into the highly tactical program details.
  • Should have experience managing programs and projects driving the development of multiple, concurrent initiatives involving cross-functional groups.
  • You are a self-starter who can keep the extended team motivated and focused and you thrive in an extremely fast-paced, high-pressure, high-visibility role

Role

This team member will work closely with the VP to support and manage the operations and coordination of the Talent, Learning and Leadership team. This position focuses on combining alignment on the vision, development and implementation of effective management processes and resolution of business issues. The ideal person for this role possesses the ability to make recommendations and provide constructive feedback based on an impartial and analytical assessment. The candidate should be able to effortlessly move from strategy to tactical issues. This position requires extensive working with the leadership team, partner with the IT and Finance organizations, and work cross-functionally outside of People organization.

Responsibilities

  • Define and manage management processes (staff meetings, ops review, team off-sites, etc.)
  • Align efforts on goals and metrics, partnering with People and Business Services leadership (with primary ownership of overall metrics)
  • Able to provide analytics consulting on strategic projects such as Splunk Enterprise Workforce Strategy
  • Partner with leadership team to align and execute against the organization vision
  • Serve as a trusted partner and provide impartial analysis of team performance
  • Partner with communications team for communications executive communications, and various forums (All-Hands, Director Forums, etc.)
  • Partner with Finance on budget planning
  • Drive and/or partner with leadership team to drive program management and delivery
  • Act as business representative on critical projects, as needed

Requirements

  • Ability to work with a senior leader and management team
  • Strong influencing, listening communication and facilitation skills
  • Ability to apply structured problem solving (taking a large, complex problem and breaking it down into components)
  • Ability to provide consulting and coaching assistance to executives
  • Demonstrated, take-charge attitude
  • Attention to detail and ability to execute against tight timelines
  • Strong Operational and Organizational skills
  • Balanced Strategic and Tactical approach
  • BS/BA in Business Required and MBA preferred
  • 8-10 years’ experience in program management across multiple teams and, or consulting firm experience on large scale engagements
