Job Description:

  • There are 2 Program Manager positions available. One will report to a Client Operations Centre in Ohio or Kentucky and the one will report to a Client Operations Centre in Indiana.
  • The Hazard Tree Program is a component of the overall Integrated Vegetation Management (IVM) program that targets proactive tree felling of trees that are dead, dying, diseased, or leaning.
  • The Hazard Tree Program Manager will be responsible for the tracking of all phases of the Hazard Tree program execution to ensure success, including but not limited to tracking of schedules, tree inventory, costs, quality, auditing, accurate invoicing and communications.
  • This position will collaborate with various groups within Customer Delivery including, the Grid Programs and Support Vice President, VM General Manager, VM Directors and Managers, Veg Governance, Vegetation Management Effectiveness, Divisional Vegetation Management Specialist, Vegetation Management Specialist (VMS), Contract Suppliers and Contract Foresters, to oversee the planning, identification, execution and documentation of the Hazard Tree Program.
  • The HTPM will work to ensure compliance with appropriate accounting and work tracking, as well as adherence to regulatory auditing requirements.
  • The HTPM will work closely with Contract Foresters and VMS to monitor, status and communicate work progress with VM and Contract Foresters.
  • The Program Manager will work with the VM groups to establish work priorities, regional work plans, resource plans, annual schedules and workforce priorities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of project management experience. Graduation from a two-year college or university.
  • Working knowledge of project management principles. Working Knowledge to Proficiency in Project Management, Decision Making, Critical Thinking, and Problem Solving; Project related work experience; Risk Management; Project Leadership; Proven Collaborative Team Member.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Graduation from a four-year college or university.
  • ISA Certified Arborist; Pesticide License PMI (PMP or CAPM) Certification; CMII certificates; Professional Engineer License.
  • Working knowledge to proficiency in project related Scheduling/ Cost Controls and/or experience managing multimillion-dollar budgets.

What You Will Do:

  • Develop long term client relationships and create trusted relationships demonstrated through exceptional performance.
  • Understand the commercial and workplace market, strategic goals and work towards the further development of the business plan by building and growing both talent and projects.
  • Determine personnel needs for assigned projects based upon current and projected workload; develop detailed project work plans within Deltek Vision and other tools to convey personnel needs to the Director of Operations.

  • Provide and collect information for various pre-design services such as: feasibility and environmental impact studies, site selection, and cost analysis.
  • Participate in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance in relation to zoning laws, fire regulations, building codes and other ordinances; convey applicable changes of local, state, and federal regulations and ordinances to project personnel.
  • Schedule internal meetings with project personnel to ensure design specifications and construction schedules are being performed in conjunction with plans; ensure understanding of short and long-term facility and planning needs.
  • Prepare and deliver oral and written presentations on the design and production of projects; present and explain proposals, reports and findings to clients.
  • Maintain frequent contact with clients to ensure any questions, concerns, or comments regarding the project are addressed in a prompt and professional manner.
  • Supervise and direct a multi-disciplinary team of professionals, pre-professionals and technicians, throughout the development and contract document phases of a project.
  • Serve as a mentor for Project Team members.
  • Review the performance and work quality of project personnel and provide feedback to the Director of Operations; recognizing outstanding contributions and provide constructive criticism for areas of improvement.
  • Coordinate and participate in activities involving marketing, proposal and contract development of projects, including the development of Scope and Fees.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from accredited college or university in Architecture; Master’s Degree or other advanced educations is a plus.
  • Architectural license attainable.
  • Professional expertise demonstrated through at least 7 years of experience with mid to large scale projects with a high degree of technical complexity in the commercial and workplace markets.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with project personnel, internal office staff, and Clients.
  • Ability to lead others and bring about solidarity within a diverse group to meet a determined goal.

Responsibilities

Project Managers are responsible to drive results by coordinating the workload of the project team through all project stages to complete documents within project scope, on schedule, and meeting the client’s and Company’s budgets. This position requires involvement with the management, production, and coordination of several projects concurrently. Project Managers must exhibit excellent client relationship skills and are expected to be involved with marketing, proposal development, contract negotiation, and production meetings. Project Managers must work collaboratively with individuals throughout the organization with a strong team oriented approach.

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

  • Establishes project scope with the client
  • Identifies project related risks and proactively plans for their mitigation
  • Coordinates with the project team discipline leaders regarding fee preparation
  • Prepares fee proposals
  • Prepares and negotiates client and subcontractor contracts
  • Develops schedules and project plans
  • Leads project kick off and regular project team meetings
  • Communicates relevant information with the project team
  • Monitors the project team’s progress against plan
  • Ensures all project deliverables go through a detailed technical QA/QC review
  • Monitors subconsultant work progress against contract
  • Maintains frequent contact with the client
  • Identifies changes in scope to prepare and coordinate requests for additional services
  • Fosters positive relations with clients, subcontractors, and contractors
  • Resolves project related disputes in a prompt, professional manner
  • Coordinates project billing with the accounting department
  • Monitors the collection of fees from clients.
  • Provides feedback to the Director of Operations regarding performance and work quality of project teammates

Qualifications

  • Registered Architect
  • 5 - 10+ years’ architectural design experience leading design teams in complex program projects in Higher Education, Healthcare, Aviation, Institutional and/or
  • Government market sectors
  • Excellent design skills demonstrated through project experience and portfolio
  • LEED® Accredited Professional
  • Excellent leadership, verbal and communication skills, and effective client relationship skills and talent for leading and working with diverse teams of designers
  • Proficiency using REVIT and AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office applications is required
  • Experience using Photoshop, SketchUp, Rhino is a plus
  • Ability to persuasively and visually communicate ideas
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and project teams.
  • Excellent planning, time management and organization skills; strong ability to multi-task.
  • Excellent client/customer engagement and presentation skills
